PRIVACY POLICY
Last updated: January 2026
Anubis is designed with privacy as a core principle. Your data stays on your device.
DATA COLLECTION
Anubis does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers.
All benchmark data, session history, model information, and application settings are stored locally on your Mac in the following location:
NETWORK ACTIVITY
Anubis communicates only with locally-running inference servers that you configure:
- Ollama (default: localhost:11434)
- mlx-lm (default: localhost:8080)
- Other OpenAI-compatible servers you add
No data is sent to Anthropic, OpenAI, or any other external service unless you explicitly configure a remote endpoint in Settings.
LOCAL STORAGE
The following data is stored locally:
- Benchmark Sessions: Prompts, responses, and performance metrics
- Arena Comparisons: Model comparisons and voting history
- Backend Configurations: Server URLs and optional API keys
- Application Preferences: UI settings and defaults
API KEYS
If you configure OpenAI-compatible backends with API keys, these keys are stored locally in the application's database. They are only sent to the servers you configure and are never transmitted elsewhere.
THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Anubis does not integrate with any analytics, crash reporting, or telemetry services. There are no trackers, no usage statistics, and no phone-home functionality.
DATA DELETION
To delete all Anubis data, remove the application support folder:
You can also clear individual benchmark or arena history within the application.
OPEN SOURCE
Anubis is open source. You can review the complete source code to verify these privacy practices.
